It was only a week after Italy beat England in the World Cup 2014 so much of the banter was focused on England’s fate in their match against Italy. This was quickly forgotten when TENESO UK were on hand to help their Italian partners to store a new MRI scanner in its UK forward stocking location.
The unit weighs two and a half tons and boasts the very latest technology. Manufactured by Paramed, it’s “Open Sky” design features a revolutionary magnet design that is “U-shaped” so that the system can be open vertically as opposed to more traditional systems that are opened horizontally. Put simply, this means that all barriers between the patient and the surrounding environment are now removed and patients are not enclosed in a ‘claustrophobic’ tunnel when the scan is being carried out.
Lifting and handling products of this type is what we do…although it is not an everyday occurrence. Brian Field, UK Special Projects Manager was on hand to orchestrate events on the day and to ensure that everything went smoothly.
With the MRI unit already in the UK TENESO’s ability to react to the call from the hospital to install the unit will be shortened dramatically
