Bishopsgate Announces ISO 14001 Certification for Environmental Management
Following their awards for Quality Standard ISO 9001, ADISA & FORS, the latest ISO 14001 award confirms Bishopsgate’s environmental management credentials.
Tim Bloch, Managing Director considers the new award long overdue and goes some way to recognising Bishopsgate’s continued environmental focus. “From managing our customer’s waste stream through to better scheduling of our vehicles, we understand that the work that we do can have a huge environmental impact” He goes on to say “We always had our focus on process standards (ISO 9001) ensuring we provided the best service possible to our customers, but now felt it was time to have our environmental efforts recognised too.”
Bishopsgate’s quality manager, Debbie Goy declared: “The ISO 14001 certification reaffirms the company’s efforts to reduce the impact of its activities on the environment” She adds, “We have fully embraced the idea of paperless workflows, recycling of metals, cardboard plastic and even give advice to our client base on more cost effective ways of handling it. Our move to paperless scanners for our drivers, IT technology to reduce travel, a complete move to electronic records management and extensive recycling have all combined to make a huge impact”
The ISO 14001 accreditation confirms Bishopsgate’s serious dedication to environmental issues with the services they provide their customers, and within their own workplace.
