All of the Bishopsgate teams have been working in partnership with our loyal customers to ensure we are supporting the coronavirus emergency response. This is particularly true of our assistance to our customers in the medical sector, who need all manner of swift and urgent deliveries of critical equipment for the NHS during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our crews have been delivering across the UK and Ireland, installing seven days a week during this challenging time. A wide range of products delivered and installed include hospital beds, couches, ventilators, pumps, monitors and DVT garments, plus other essential products, even ice-cream freezers!
Today Bishopsgate delivered ice-cream freezers into the NHS Nightingale Hospital at the ExCeL centre in London, on behalf of Unilever. The freezers will be used to store ice cream to provide sustenance and feel-good products for the hard-working and deserving NHS staff and volunteers on site.
But it’s not only our delivery teams that have been busy. Warehouse teams across the Bishopsgate network are achieving swift unloading, accurate cataloguing and urgent despatch of vital and much needed equipment. Our five UK-based warehouse locations have handled increased volumes similar to those seen during the Brexit scenario. All of this was last-minute, and I must say the teams are continuing to manage the additional work without a fuss.
