SWINDON, 26 August 2026 – Today we are delighted to announce that from 1 September, Patrick Dela Hunty will step up as CEO of Bishopsgate.
Tim Bloch, current MD, said:
“Patrick has been with me since we took the business out of receivership in 2007, and having worked in a few roles across all areas of the business for nearly 20 years now, is an invaluable and committed member of the senior leadership team (SLT).”
Patrick brings the vision and the energy to take Bishopsgate into its next phase of growth, supported by an extremely experienced leadership team in Graham Jarvis (Sales), Jake Bloch (Ops & IT) and Martyn Bond (Finance), who between them have over 50 years’ experience working at Bishopsgate.
Patrick commented:
“I am excited, motivated and eager to take this fantastic business forward. Bishopsgate is capable of considerably more than we are doing today, and having worked in almost every part of it over nearly twenty years, I have a clear view of where that growth comes from. The relationships I have built here are what I value most, and it is this team that will get us there. Tim has built something remarkable, and I am honoured to lead it into its next chapter.”

Tim Bloch will step into a new role as Chairman, supporting and mentoring Patrick and the Bishopsgate SLT. Tim added:
“My success to date has been a massive team effort and I am so pleased to see so many faces across the business still working hard together. Walking the Bishopsgate sites today I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved, and even more so when I see positive developments which I have not even been aware of, or a part of organising.”
This follows a successful three years during which Bishopsgate has continued to invest and grow under new ownership. Any change in ownership can be uncertain, so credit to Elanders and everyone at Bishopsgate for this achievement, despite the challenging economic environment of recent years.
Today’s announcement is a part of a considered succession, developed and worked on over a number of years. Tim has deliberately invested in preparing Patrick and the wider senior team, because he recognises how important the right leadership is within any organisation. The leadership succession has been developed with the help of Kate Smyth at Meraki People.
Tim has experienced firsthand how a change of ownership in any entrepreneur-led business can make or break it, and that it is rarely seamless. That this has been managed well at Bishopsgate is in no small part down to the consistency of the senior team, who – along with our excellent customer collaborations, our core values of excellence, integrity and passion, and the hard work of the whole team – are responsible for this success.
Congratulations Patrick.
