We all experienced an extraordinary 2020 coping with COVID-19 restrictions and the uncertainty that came with the various lockdowns and other measures. This year we have continued to adapt to new ways of working, including working from home and with increased online activity. This has enabled us to maintain a safe working environment, and continue effective communication with all our customers and consignees.
The logistics industry has faced its own unique challenges of resource shortages, increasing demand of logistics movements, and a growing requirement for storage and warehousing.
The team here at Bishopsgate is enormously proud of its success in overcoming these hurdles. Our operational teams stepped up UK-wide recruitment and training across our two-man delivery teams, while also adding warehouse space, meeting often-changing demands from our customers, and, most importantly, keeping our people safe while they are on the front line.
Looking forward to 2022, we plan to add more new vehicles, more warehouse space and new team members right across our UK network.
During the year we found time to update our livery. The new modern look reflects our investment in new fleet, which includes the cleanest engines as well as specialist low-chassis adaptations.
Additionally, we launched our new website to present a better view of our business to our customers, and so ensure that our exciting developments are properly shared. Our IT security was further enhanced behind the scenes with security training for everyone, and the re-hosting of the server onto a cloud-based platform in a state-of-the-art facility better protects our own as well as our customers’ data.
Every member of the team here plays their part, and all of us at Bishopsgate Specialist Logistics and Installations would like to thank you for the great collaborations in 2021, and for placing your trust in our people and network.
