Glory Global chose London this year, to stage their worldwide annual exhibition, showing off their range of small coin sorters, large volume note sorters and ATM’s. Bishopsgate’s London depot took control of proceedings from receiving the goods, providing test facilities for the Glory engineers through to managing the complex logistics for the event.
Bishopsgate’s project manager, Brian Field orchestrated events with meticulous attention to detail. “We received the shipments 3 weeks before the event started and provided Glory with a dedicated holding area that allowed the engineers to run and test the equipment .Everything that we received was logged and the planning was in place, ready for the opening of the show on the Monday morning”
He added, “We had to reverse down a one way system to the hotel and with no access for trailers, we provided full traffic management, banksmen and 4 x 18t rigids, all fitted with cantilever tail lifts. The delivery was staged for vehicles to arrive at specific times .The Bishopsgate crew ensured that as the stand’s and backdrops were completed, the equipment was unpacked and ready to be installed. Offloading started early on a Sunday morning, over an eleven hour period, A Bishopsgate team, totalling 10, were on site for the duration, working with engineers and the show design team to ensure that everything was in the right place at the right time. Returning to the exhibition at 9pm after the 3 day event, with all the packaging loaded onto 4 x 18t trucks, the team once again worked with the scenery build team, to remove and break down the show .Everything was removed and returned to the Bishopsgate London Depot, where the equipment was collected by various worldwide shippers and returned to its original destination”
“Thank you so much for all the support given in the various stages of Engage event. It is being a pleasure working with such a professional company as Bishopsgate. Also to Doug my special thanks for leading all contacts and ensuring everything was done according to the plan. Good job my friend.”
