MITSafetrans was founded 30 years ago, based in Carugate in the province of Milan and is a founding member of TENESO Europe SE. We caught up with their CEO, Marco Crenna, to outline his thoughts on the industry, how his company have developed and grown during the ‘crisis’ and to discover his plans for the future.
Lombardy is a region of Italy with a strong concentration of companies in the high technology sector; medical, banking, artwork, vending, fitness, ICT and energy. “We are medium sized company but a giant in the fields in which we operate” said MITSafetran’s CEO, Marco Crenna. “We are an active operator in the transport and logistics sector for niche markets and have branches throughout Italy. We can therefore provide a unique network for the type of services offered. And through TENESO, we can extend this service offering to the whole of Europe, including Eastern European countries”
“Our focus remains in the field of Hi-Tech and we have seen four times growth in the last 10 years. We have achieved this by providing additional and customised ‘vertical’ services to our existing client base. When we talk about Hi-Tech products we often refer to design, production or marketing, but it is essential to consider the series of complementary services that are an integral part of the product itself. And this naturally includes transportation, logistics and technical services” It has been necessary for Hi Tech companies to use the services offered from specialist suppliers such as MitSafetrans who are able to provide their services safely, timely and reliably.
“We offer customers a structure especially for the high-tech, “says Crenna.” Our warehouses are characterized by having equipment designed for the activity in specific sectors such as medical laboratories for bio-decontamination, test areas for radiology, refurbishment areas, staging areas, workshops facilities and more…
Our fleet of vehicles are ‘best in class’ and come equipped with side hydraulic cranes, stair robots, pallet trucks and manual handling equipment.
Our 12 branch offices are connected within of a network operating with operate 24/7 and thanks to our qualified employees; drivers, technical operators and English speaking office staff, we can guarantee training specialised for the sectors of high technologies.
MITSafetrans is also present in the European market thanks to TENESO (Technical Network Solution), which it helped found along with other leading companies in countries of our continent. TENESO is one of the main European operators specialized in transport, distribution delivery, placement, installation, storage and integrated logistics for sensitive equipment and high value that need special attention. “It’s the ‘champions league’ in transport hi-tech, “says Marco Crenna. “We are now able to sit at the table with the most important European companies in the industry”
“On the continuing economic crisis which inevitably involves also the medical sector, Crenna said: “There are cycles of contraction alternating cycles of expansion. We remain optimistic. We believe that innovation created by man always leads to advance along a path of evolution” To demonstrate this he adds, “We recently finished setting up a laboratory designed especially to meet the needs the medical world. We are now able to clean, disinfect and decontaminate human tissue that allows the machine itself to be transported by us from one hospital to another for demonstrations. The laboratory, created by MITSafetrans, is fully integrated in the logistics chain, allowing its customers in the medical arena to save time, costs and operate safely.
