One of our large HGV vehicles caused a bit of a storm on social media recently when it appeared to menicingly move ever closer to a BBC reporter doing a live broadcast just before the feed suddenly switched back to the BBC studio.
The suspenseful cliffhanger ending led many viewers to take to social media wondering whether the Reporter was ok and had survived his seemingly inescapable fate.
@jonkay01 Please reassure BBC viewers you’re not currently under a massive blue HGV (top beard btw) pic.twitter.com/Gfv8tNgVtp

All was well though as the BBC Reporter himself, Jon Kay, quickly took to Twitter to assure viewers he was unharmed, and in fact in no danger at all, it was simply a trick of the camera angle that made our HGV appear a lot closer to the producer than it was.
Happy to confirm that I am not under a truck. Looked closer than it was. We were on the pavement. https://t.co/PPwi4WAZzI

Managing Director Tim Bloch has assured us that Bishopsgate’s highly trained crews are not encouraged in any way to run over members of the public.
