TENESO’s shareholder in The Netherlands, Eijgenhuijsen is proud to announce that it is now certified as an ISO14001 environmental management standard compliant organisation.
ISO 14001 is a worldwide accepted standard about environmental management. It prescribes controls for those activities that have an effect on the environment. These include the use of natural resources, handling and treatment of waste and energy consumption.
Eijgenhuijsen have always put the environment high on its agenda and this is supported fully by its actions. Marcel Reurink, managing director, commented, “We continue to invest in modern materials and methods and to work as environmentally friendly as possible. This accreditation reaffirms the efforts made by all of our staff for the protection of the environment”
The management system, based on the standard ensures that environmental risks are mapped, controlled and reduced where possible. In order to receive the certificate, several audits are conducted on all sites, where the environmental management system has been assessed by VIA norm (a DEKRA company).
